The JPCMSC is comprised of the IL WU Coast Safety Conunittee and the Coast Safety Committee of the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA). We are working jointly on the curriculum and development of General Safety Training (GST) VIII. The Joint Committee in Oregon Area is seeking voluntary participation from members coastwise that are willing to share their personal experiences related to injuries, accidents, near misses, witnessing accidents, etc. while working on the waterfront.These experiences may be used as we improve and update the current GST program.
If selected, participants may be asked to share their experiences on film and be part of GST VIII. Anyone interested in participating, please contact Jeff Smith Local 8 Coast Safety Committee no later than May 11, 2012. He will collect the contact information on all interested members for consideration by the Coast Safety Committee in Oregon I Columbia River Area
